MEET OUR PROVIDERS

Dr. Barbara Hannah, MD

Barbara Ann Hannah, M.D., a partner in Advanced Health Associates, also serves as the owner and president of Women’s Center/HealthCare Physicians, PLLC where she has practiced obstetrics and gynecology for twenty-two years. “Dr. Bobbi” as she is affectionately known to her patients has delivered thousands of babies and performed countless gynecological surgeries. Dr. Hannah aspires for each patient to feel well cared for and that her concerns are being addressed.

Dr. Bobbi, a native of Indianapolis, has been in the Detroit metro area since attending Wayne State University medical school. Upon medical school graduation, Dr. Hannah continued her OB/GYN training at the Detroit Medical Center where she earned the Joan Stryker Teaching Award for teaching medical students. Dr. Hannah brings her teaching expertise as a high school biology teacher into the world of medicine. “The education of patients is an important component of what I do. There is an overwhelming amount of misinformation out there so I want patients to be well informed as they make medical decisions. I see myself as a guide to help patients navigate through this information,” says Dr. Bobbi.

Dr. Bobbi also practices global medicine by traveling outside the United States to provide much needed health care services. She has participated in five medical missions to South Africa, Jamaica and Trinidad/Tobago. She feels like medical mission work has contributed to her well rounded perspective and enhanced her ability to deliver quality medical care.

Although she delivers complete obstetrical and gynecological care, Dr. Hannah has a special interest in the menopausal patient. She affectionately calls these ladies her “pause” girls. “Menopause is a natural transition in a woman’s life and I want her to continue into that stage feeling vibrant and confident. For some patients, enhanced exercise and nutritional support can be beneficial while others may need medical therapy.” says Hannah.

Dr. Bobbi participates in numerous medical and civic organizations including the National Medical Association, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and VIP mentoring. Dr. Hannah believes in giving back to the community and enjoys her time working with young people by handing them the tools for success. She is an avid believer in the mantra “to whom much is given, much is required.” She is married to James H. Kerns whom she met at her undergraduate university, Kentucky State University. Her hobbies include travel and creative writing.

Mary C. DeLucia RNC, CNP

Mary C. DeLucia RNC, CNP has over 40 years obstetric and gynecological experience, including 28 years as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Nursing degree from Mercy College of Detroit, and Master of Nursing degree from University of Michigan.

Mary is also a retired “Colonel” of the United States Air Force after 22 years of service. Mary’s special medical interests include evaluation of abnormal pap/HPV test results.

Mary DeLucia and her husband Frank have been married for 40 years and are the parents of three sons, and grandparents of seven beautiful  grandchildren. They enjoy spending time in their retirement home in Holland, Michigan.

Jeanne Gray RNC, CNP

Jeanne Gray RNC CNP has over 40 years obstetric and gynecologic experience, including 22 years as a woman’s health nurse practitioner.

She received both her bachelor of nursing and master of nursing degrees from Wayne State University. A lifelong downriver resident she has always served women in the downriver communities.

Jeanne’s particular specialized medical interests include adolescent reproductive health and LARC ( long acting reversible contraceptives. )

She is married the mother of two sons, and grandmother of 4 perfect grandchildren. Travel and reading, as well as spending time with family, are very important to her.

Leanna Alaiwat MS, PA-C

A board certified Physician Assistant, Leanna Alaiwat was one of fifteen freshman accepted into the 5-year Accelerated Physician Assistant Program at the University of Detroit Mercy where she received her bachelor’s degree in biology, and her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies.

Leanna has followed her passion in women’s health, where she now treats women of all ages for both obstetrical and gynecological care. She is a huge advocate for patient education, and as a Palestinian American, she understands the stigma & sensitivity some patients are faced with regarding their health.

Leanna grew up in Riverview, Michigan and currently resides in Novi. She is a proud member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Association of Physician Assistants in Obstetrics & Gynecology, and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
